The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress stars in the mystery thriller from first-time director Eric D. Howell.
Momentum Pictures has picked up North American rights to Voice From the Stone, a mystery thriller starring Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke.

Clarke plays a young nurse in the 1950s who travels to an isolated stone castle in Tuscany, Italy, to care for the mute heir of a family fortune. Once there, she finds herself submerged deeper and deeper in the castle’s hidden secrets.

The feature, which marks the directorial debut of helmer Eric D. Howell, is based on the Italian novel La voce della Pietra by writer Silvio Raffo and was adapted for the screen by Andrew Shaw.

Sejin Croninger, senior vp worldwide acquisitions for Momentum, negotiated the deal for Voice From the Stone with Entertainment One and with CAA on behalf of the filmmakers.

Momentum is planning an all-platform release for Voice From the Stone in the first quarter of 2017. Thirteen Films is handling international sales for the project at AFM.
