Grindstone Entertainment Acquires U.S. Rights To Adrien Brody Pic ‘Manhattan Nocturne’

EXCLUSIVE– Grindstone Entertainment Group has acquired the U.S. rights toAdrien Brody pic Manhattan NocturneLionsgate Premiere will handle the distribution via a multi-platform release on May 20 this year. The film, directed by Brian DeCubellis, also stars Yvonne Strahovski, Campbell Scott, Jennifer Beals with Linda Lavin and Steven Berkoff.

As well as starring, Brody also produced the pic along with DeCubellis and Steve Klinsky through their banners Fable House, DeCubellis Films and Untravelled Worlds, which also financed the film with SR Media Corporation and Fable House. 13 Films is handling international rights.

Adapted from a NY Times notable book of the year, Manhattan Nocturne follows a Manhattan tabloid writer (Brody), who is a dedicated husband and father. He meets a seductive stranger, who asks him to dig into the unsolved murder of her filmmaker husband. He accepts the assignment and finds himself sucked into a world of sexual obsession and blackmail.

Paradigm handled the domestic rights.
