Leon, a mixed race boy older than his 9 years, is forced to take care of his blue-eyed baby brother when his single mother suffers a nervous breakdown. When the authorities separate the brothers, Leon is forced on a journey to find his little brother and ensure his safety, ultimately finding himself in the process.
