Elizabeth director Shekhar Kapur will helm Tiger’s Curse, an epic adventure adapted from the best-selling YA novel series by Colleen Houck. Adding more YA juice to the project is The Vampire Diaries and The Originals creator Julie Plec, who adapted the tale of a girl with a powerful connection to a beautiful white tiger that turns out to be a prince suffering from a 300-year curse. Ineffable Pictures’ Raphael Kryszek and Jesse Israel are producing along with Lotus Entertainment’s Bill Johnson and Jim Seibel. Kapur is also a producer. Lotus’ D.J. Gugenheim and Ara Keshishian are exec producing; Lotus will rep foreign sales at AFM, where it’s also selling Keanu Reeves pic Replicas, Halle Berry vehicle Kidnap, the Arnold Schwarzenegger-Abigail Breslin zombie tale Maggie, and more.

Marton Csokas (The Equalizer) has joined Game of ThronesEmilia Clarke in Voice From The Stone, which also is coming to AFM this week. International sales and finance company 13 Films is co-financing the supernatural thriller adapted by Andrew Shaw from the Italian novel La Voce Della Pietra by Silvio Raffo. Clarke stars as a nurse who tries to save a young boy who seems to be under the spell of a malevolent force trapped within the walls of the stone manor he lives in with his father (Csokas). Eric D. Howell is directing the film, which is produced by Dean Zanuck and Stefano Gallini-Durante and is set to begin filming this month in Italy. Tannaz Anisi of 13 Films is exec producing, and 13 Films will introduce the movie to foreign buyers this week along with rom-com Take Care, Manhattan Nocturne and Very Good Girls.
